GENERAL INFORMATION:

The best way to check availability is to send an email to [email protected] with your desired arrival date, length of stay, a brief description of your purpose in coming to UVA, and the name of your UVA contact.

The center has 6 single-bed, furnished, guest rooms available for international visitors coming to UVA for short-term (1-3 months) postgraduate study, research, and collaboration. Visitors coming to UVA for more than 3 months can request a one month reservation as a place to stay while looking for longer-term accommodations. For stays of less than a month (1-3 weeks), the center will consider the request no earlier than one month out from the start date requested. 

Lodgings at the International Center are not suited to those looking for a private, apartment-style residential experience. During normal business hours, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, the building is an office environment for professional administrative staff and a daily work environment for housekeeping and facilities management staff. Guests are expected to vacate center spaces, including bedrooms, during scheduled housekeeping and maintenance. The use of the center's spaces, including the kitchen, are subject to restrictions as the center is a multi-use space. The International Center hosts classes and activities several times a week and UVA departments and organizations use the center for their events, including on evenings and weekends.

Located in a residential neighborhood, the center is a 15 minute walk from the UVA Grounds and a 5 minute walk from a University bus stop. Commercial shopping is within walking distance and on the bus lines. A resident manager lives on site and lodgings include weekly housekeeping service with bed and bath linens, coin-operated washer and dryer, and access to the UVA wireless network.
